![]() There might be mods to fix it but I’m not sure.įallout 76 is also on game pass which is doing it’s a dollar for the first month thing still: The biggest gripe is the non-description choices for dialogue which results in a more detailed and varied response. The launch reviews confirmed it and even though I’ve hear of improvements, I still don’t have any interest. I never had any interest in 76 because the online play in the established world just didn’t seem necessary to me. Also didn’t like the base building much so I just didn’t bother. The “save the base” missions were not for me and I just skipped them. That said, the things I liked about 4 kept me interested in going back at some point. I’ve still never finished it and pick it up from time to time as I don’t have nearly as much free time to play now as I did when 3 came out. Just couldn’t get too into the story and the town of New Vegas felt weirdly dead to me compared to how it’s portrayed by in game dialogue.įO4 is a decent graphical improvement over 3. New Vegas is one that I kind of enjoyed a few times but never finished on any play through. I do know that some of the quests right around the end of the main story are hard solo so you will probably have to group up with some randoms just before the end game.įO3 was my first ever in the series and I love it to this day. I should mention I usually play solo and actually been having a great time. If you enjoy 76 alot then you can actually get something called 'fallout 1st' which is a monthly subscription that allows you to play in a private instance and a few other perks and bonuses. I would say if you enjoyed fallout 4 then give 76 a try. I played for a few hours yesterday and only came across a few here and there. I do find though because the map is so big I rarely find myself running into any players. In my 60-70 hours of play I've only come across one and that was yesterday haha. Not like rainbow six siege or LoL levels of toxicity but you will encounter at least one or two. However due to the recent updates and being added to game pass, there has been an uptick of players and with that, toxic players. Even maybe some starter weapons or armour once you leave the vault at the beginning of the game. Fallout 76 has a great community that actively are there to give you pointers and tips. but i know i would have enjoyed it much more knowing i could play single player offline, use mods/console commands to my hearts content, and keep multiplayer to like. with that, i had an awesome time with some friends i met online through the game, so i enjoyed it. The list goes on, but off the top of my head, these are probably the biggest reasons people hated it. at first it was PVP only, then they allowed you to set a flag but it didn't really work, and only after a few months did "PVP off" really mean that. ![]() PVP has been handled really weirdly throughout the life of the game. ![]() ![]() as a caveat to the "online only", if you want to play a private/solo game, you have to pay a monthly subscription.inventory space is also soft capped, first time for the series as far as i know, which is kind of an antithesis to this game since it heavily revolves around loot. it's online only, so you can't really mod it or use console commands like the fallouts of the past, something the series has been known heavily for. ![]() i played knowing what i was getting into.
